Summer Days and Lazy Waves
A little taste of those Summer days has arrived at Constantine Bay.  The groms are out of school and are flying all over those glassy waves on all sorts of surf riding vehicles.  Cheyne and Sarah have launched this season's surf lessons and thoughts are shifting to thinner neoprene and los... full details

We hope to be able to report on the actual surf conditions each or most mornings and try to predict the next day's conditions. If we don't then the conditions are that bad (or good?).

High Tide:
12.39
(5.6m)
Low Tide:
19.28
(2.7m)
4' - 6'
Yep, it's still pumping!  There are big gaps between sets and evenly spaced waves within those sets, so paddling may be just a little easier.  With six foot walls grinding down the Reef every now and then, the wind staying offshore and light and that sun due to wake up shortly, it's looking like another very good day ahead of us!
Enjoy.

There's a heap more definition to those tiny waves getting in here today.  Whereas yesterday was just a leftover slopfest, it is way cleaner this morning.  But so small.  This swell seems to be completely bypassing this place.  And with the other side breaking so well, it's a bit of a no brainer.

Our scale for measuring conditions is the universal one; 1ft (barely rideable - your choice), 2-3ft (hip to shoulder height when trimming across the wave), 3-4ft (head high and great), 4-5ft (that little bit bigger), 6ft (very rare - well overhead), 8ft (rarely gets bigger in this country but has been known), 10ft (very rarely rideable in this country only a few breaks can hold this size). 12ft + (get yer jet ski, yer big wave gun, kiss yer family and friends good-bye and head for the hills - but I've never seen it this big and rideable in this country).

Surf Forecast for Saturday 4th September 2010

I can't see any reason why things shouldn't, well, improve!  Those light offshores look like they're sticking around, that swell is finding its rhythm, it may just cloud over here and there for a while but overall it's looking like a bit of a classic day!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A pumping, rhythmic swell, steady south easterly (offshore) winds, bright, bright sunshine and an emptying lineup.  September is here and this is what it's all about.  Shame that the sun may disappear for a wee while on saturday but hey ho, it should still be cooking!
Have a great weekend, whatever you're doing!
